Back to School

The school bus for the kids will be picking them up for school every day at 6:30 AM, "O Dark Hundred in the morning" (a family saying)! So I shot a few pics of them today for the First Day of School. This was the best one out of the lot.

They will both be in Middle School this year. Mr. M is very excited about this; while Miss K is unsure about having her brother at the same school. (He flashes trouble making eyes at her when we talk about it.) She did say though that she will keep a "Big Sister" eye out for him and show him the ropes. Thanks Miss K, your mom and dad appreciate it!

Thankful for Health

I updated the medical information for both kids today since they both went in during last week for physicals. It had been 2 years since their last physical and they were due some shots. We've been incredibly blessed to parent these 2 children entrusted to us by God. And, we are very thankful that they have been healthy throughout their lives so far. Of course, we've had our occasional trip to the ER but overall nothing major; and we'll keep praying that it stays that way!

Here's a photo of the two of them from our visit to the Nashville Zoo during Memorial Day weekend this year.

We did get the scoop on how they are doing "height-wise". Mr. "M" IS on track to be 6 feet tall, according to his current height/percentile. As far as Miss "K", the doctor thinks she will grow another 2-3 inches which will put her at about 5' 5" or 5' 6" -> she hopes for even 1 more inch, to be as tall as her dad, 5' 7"!

We've done it!

We've done it - Team Lee has a blog!

This has been a big week on the world wide web for us as we OK'd our daughter to have a FB page and then I (mom) also started up hers, too. (I actually had the account since May but hadn't done anything with it - my daughter showed me the ropes!) Now, our own blogspot, what next? Bungee jumping? Just kidding!

"Team Lee" is a family saying we started when attending family camp at VCBC in Iowa (I'll write more on that later). We use it all the time, whenever accomplishing some big household job or hitting the road or just out having fun. We are Team Lee, all for one and one for all! (OK, that was corny, I can just feel my daughter's eyes rolling!)
